Emmy faves...!

Confession: I didn't watch the Emmy Awards. However, that doesn't mean I wasn't scrolling through Twitter and People.com to check out some super gorgeous gowns!

I was pretty stoked to read that Homeland and Modern Family won in their series designations...both shows are pretty damn fantastic. And leading ladies from said series positively killed it in the dress department. Below are my faves from the evening...what are yours?!

Getting Fleeced

Woah. I went for a walk this morning and all of a sudden, BAM, it's cold outside! As in 48 degrees cold. *anxiously looks around for my boots*

There's nothing quite cozier that something wrapped and snuggled in fleece. I'm not saying we should all run out and buy up stocks of Snuggies or Forever Lazy. Or, hey, if that's your thing - go for it.

I've been searching for a really good pair of fleece lined leggings and fleece lined tights. Now, I'm not looking for running tights, but a nicely put together pair of solid black, toasty tights. In my search for said tights, I decided that I like lots of fleece lined things. Coats, vests, skirts and more. While it may not be quite cold enough for the fleece lined duds just yet, give it a few weeks, friends...!

Do you have a favorite fleece item?

Currently Craving: Kick Ass Ankle Boots

I recently scored a pair of flat, black leather ankle boots that make me look like I fo sho own a Harley. I like them. A lot. I'm very much looking forward to sporting said ankle boots with my skinny (maternity) jeans and some long tunics in just a few weeks when the weather will finally turn acceptable enough to *not* sweat through my pantalones. Mmm think about ribbed tights, sweater dresses and luxe knits. Drool.

And, yo, I look long and hard at a multitude of flat-ish ankle boots. Here are a few I've been drooling over...every pair less than $150 and most of them are genuine leather! I apologize to your credit cards.

Feeling Rusty For Fall

I am itching to put away my sandals. No, I don't want a full on snowstorm to hit, but I am ready to break out my boots, jeans, vests and light sweaters. I'm also ready to retire the bright colors of summer and get rusty for fall.

Rust, the bronze hued, deep orange shade is pretty lovely. In varying degrees of depth, this shade can look great on many a skin tone. The challenge with rust, though? Pair it with too much chocolate brown or yellow and prepare yourself to be the star in the Thanksgiving day parade.

Thus, the reason to pair this color up with some other friends like teal, eggplant, bright white, cobalt, mustard, etc.

Are you feeling rusty?
