Ok...so clearly, there are many, many items of clothing I cannot survive without, but there are three that I continue to circle back to. And I'm not talking basic bras and undies here, folks. Yes, I need those things too. But I seem to especially gravitate towards the three items below especially when I'm traveling, thus solidifying my thought that said three items are pretty clutch for my summer wardrobe.
Denim Jacket: I've been rocking a Levi's denim jacket I scored from Macy's a few months back...no kidding, I rock that thing harder than Brett Michaels rocks a bandana. I'm almost considering buying a white version to pair with denim shorts and such as I can *cannot* werk that denim on denim trend.
Perfect White Tanks: I personally go through a handful of Target's $9 micro ribbed tanks every summer. They're nice and fitted and come in a variety of shade, white being the most used. They're long enough for the long-waisted gals, but don't bunch up too much for those of us who aren't blessed with a lengthy torso.
Comfy leather flip flops: Last summer I was obsessed with Tkees. I still love 'em. So much. However, I scored a pair of Mad Love sandals recently that I'm equally as crazy about. These flippies are more comfortable than the rubber Havianas and some even have a touch of support for your tired tootsies.
Which three items do you covet for summer?

Currently Craving: Trove TKEES Leather Flip Flops
I do not have pretty feet. I'll just throw that out there. I have the tiniest toe nails on the planet (seriously they look like little Chiclets) and from the myriad of exercise and running I engage in, my feet just aren't so hot. So, anything that makes my feet/legs look even remotely attractive and is comfortable = a total win in my book.
When I popped into new, local Charlotte boutique Coral I was in awe of the incredible items they had in the shop but also fell in love with TKEES. These slim, super comfy and simple leather flip flops are perfection for summer. They come in a variety of finishes, offer many shades (both nude colors and brights) and are a dressier option when Havianas just won't cut it. While they seem a bit pricey for a pair of flips ($45-$50), I imagine the cost per wear will be ridiculously low. I plan to pretty much live in these.
If you're purchasing online, go with your regular size or a bit larger as they run a tiny bit on the small side. i.e. I'm usually a 7.5 or 8 and the 8 fits just right (full sizes only, btw). While TKEES isn't selling on their website yet, it looks like it will happen very soon. In the meantime, you can score these sweet little flip flops at a myriad of online retailers - many highlighted in the set below.
While I purchased the shade "Cocoa Butter," I tossed together a set of fabu options and colors for you to gaze at. Happy shopping!

Nordstroms Score of the Day - Sam Edelman Gigi Sandals
If you're positively addicted to shoes like I am, check out my deal o' the day. Nordies is offering up a great pair of Sam Edelman sandals, "Gigi" 50% off. These puppies were originally $78.95, now $38.90.
I was searching around this morning on Ebay for these in yellow and instead of wheeling and dealing, I can go right to the source! Nordstroms is always a great spot to double check their online sales rack when a gift card is burning a hole in your pocket! These run pretty true to size, in my opinion.

Target Shoe Mania
While I was out of town this weekend, I had some time to kill so I wandered in to the local Target and was blown away by the cuteness in their shoe section. Whoever is taking care of the buying for Target's summer shoes is doing a great job! I couldn't purchase any since I had little time and no room in my carry on (big surprise) but I definitely plan on heading back soon!
Here's just a taste of a few lovely pairs I saw at Target, and none of them are over $30!
Happy Monday!
