Top Three Grammy Gowns

Well...even though the stiffs behind the Grammys sent out the *don't show your lady bits and man parts* memo, plenty of stars still pushed the envelope last night. I spied a handful of sheer ensembles, racy slits and a mass of side and under boob.

Did the stars take the memo? Well...kinda. We didn't see any pasties a la Lil Kim...so there's that?

Anywho, below are my three fave gowns from last night...which were yours?

Gorgeous Gals at The Grammy Awards

Happy Monday to all!

If you didn't catch the Grammys last night, you missed a few great performances and a not-so-surprising sweep by Adele. Oh, and you also missed Nick Minaj doing an incredibly weird and uber offensive performance that is sure to send the Catholic church into a tizzy.

I will say, though, I think Jennifer Hudson's short and sweet tribute to Whitney was beautiful. Hey - the folks only had a day to plan something into the show and I'm sure there will be a full blown memorial planned for the future months.

That being said, there were some beautifully dressed ladies at the snazzy show. Below are my top three picks...

First up is the lovely Miss Rihanna...

The Giorgio Armani dress was perfection, as is her adornment is slinky gold jewelry. The back was absolutely stunning, too. You can tell this lady's been hittin' the gym, hard. I will say, though, I'd love to put a shine serum on the tips of those blond tresses, though. They look a bit crunchy.

Next up is Taylor Swift in a breathtaking Zuhair Murad gown...

Um, wow. This dress is quite a departure from Swifty's typical sparkle and shine option. The detail on this dress is out of control. I also loved her understated earrings and soft makeup. On camera, this dress was an absolute stunner. The fit, proportion and sheen all work together beautifully.

And last, but obviously not least, is Adele...also in Giorgio Armani...

This shimmery confection is lovely with Adele's alabaster skin and flawless makeup. Whomever handled Adele's makeup and hair last night absolutely nailed it. It looks classic and beautiful. Brava!

The Good, The Bad and The Strange at The Grammys...

Did y'all catch The Grammys last night? I did...some of the show was interesting....a lot of it was, well, underwhelming, IMO.

But fashion, wise, let's look at first looks at the good:

Nicole Kidman looked lovely - just lovely. I'm diggin' fit and flare of the Gaultier dress, the loose waves and the non-tightness of her face.

The bad...

Sorry, I did not enjoy Rihanna's JPG dress. Not flattering, not chic...looked a bit doily-trashy to me. Her makeup looked flawless, though...

All during the red carpet we saw Lady Gaga "incubating" in her egg-cellent entrance. Creative? Sure. Strange? Yeah. Especially when the result of her being "born" wasn't too exciting. I like the new song, Gaga, but the egg was a reach.

WTF Friday: Grandma's Closet & Albino Gorillas

Hey everyone! Happy Friday to you all. Here's hoping you have a great weekend ahead.

Up for WTF'dom are two lovely ladies, each with eccentric styles that I occasionally adore, and yet occasionally abhore.

First up, the stunning and talented Rihanna...

Nevermind that the print hurts my eyes just a bit. Try to ignore the odd Mrs. Roper-like length of the dress. What kills me are the blue and black bobby socks with the red pumps. Now, I think some looks car handle sheer socks with pumps, or layered socks under boots but this looks ridic. Ri Ri, did your feet get chilly while sporting this ensemble? Ankles up, acceptable. Ankles down, fugtastic.

And then we have the adorable Ms. Mary Kate Olsen...

Hmm. MK, did you skin a blondie Big Foot? I don't mind faux furs, but it looks like you're giving one of those albino gorillas a piggy-back ride around town. Shave that fur, girlfriend.

WTF Friday: Attack of the Killer Fabric

Happy Friday everyone! WTF Friday is in full force! And here we go...

Oh Ciara...girlfriend...I know that fur vests are "in", but this maribou jacket is engulfing you. Attack of the maribou jacket!!! Not only does it make her upper half look insanely large (and this chica is teeny tiny), but it looks like the fattest, furriest cat just imploded on her shoulders. YIKES. Repita - burn.this.jacket.now.

And RiRi. WTF. Her grammy dress was a stunner, but this frock looks like an art project gone awry. I know Rihanna likes to push the envelope, but this look does nothing for her It's like she's riding the biggest chiffon wave I've ever seen.

WTF Friday: Rihanna & Leighton

Oh mama. Do I have some fun WTFs for you today...let's not waste any time!

Oh Leighton...we've talked about your wacky "fashion sense" before. What is this look, "naked Victorian"? Just because your pants are high rise, does not mean that the remainder  of your outfit is pardoned from covering the rest of your body. WTF, girlfriend...please cease from wearing the fugtastic enembles, you're such a cute young lady, please dress like one.

And then there is Rihanna, who I think is just stunning and can rock just about anything...except this. But, WTF, clearly girlfriend is a fan of the 80s with these ho-rrendous leggings and Barbie shoes. RiRi - we're confused, we like your avant garde looks and your fashion forward ensembles, but this messy shiz is NOT attractive, even on you.

And these super duper lace shorts. Yes, Forever21, this is exactly what I was looking for to complete my weekend attire. Skin tight, long, sheer lace shorts. YES! Thank God. Now my wardrobe is complete. It's so Madonna circa 1984, except it's not Halloween and it's not hot...at all.

WTF Friday!

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! It's a big weekend for me...my family is coming into town for my MBA graduation! Oh, and it's supposed to snow in NC. WTF?! Yeah, we'll see about that.

Anywho...enjoy WTF Friday!

First up is Ms. Audrina Patridge. Alrighty, I actually enjoy the color and the contrasting clutch, BUT, this jacket fits her so poorly. Plus, I didn't know that old granny capris are in style at all, much less in the winter. Hmmm..WTF Audrina? If you're doing to sport a colorful suit, make sure it fits well and is in actuality an entire suit.

And then there is Rihanna. Honestly, I love Rihanna. Girlfiend is gorgeous and can really work out some incredible ensembles. But WTF is this? A) the Mousecapades are featuered on her pants, BOO, B) Belly-baring, baby-doll tops weren't cute in 1995, nor are they cute now, C)Those boots are fug. Rihanna - you can successfylly sport some craazy schtuff, but this is not ok.
