Product Review: Elnett Satin Stronghold Hairspray, B

Up for a product review today is Elnett's Stronghold hairspray. I've been meaning to try out this product for a long, long time but hesitated because I love Bumble & Bumble's spray de mode oh so much. So I finally took the plunge and forked over the $13 or $14 for the 11 oz. can.


Details from L'Oreal (Elnett):
Elnett Satin is the legendary hairspray of choice for red carpet events and cover photo shoots. Its micro diffuser spray offers a clean, soft shiny finish. So fine, it disappears at the stroke of a brush. So strong its hold lasts all day.

And my review: 

The Good: The hold is nice and light, shiny and strong. In terms of the performance of the hairspray this product is similar to B&B's spray de mode, if not a wee bit lighter.

The Bad: It smells like baby powder. Strong, strong baby powder. Yowza.

The Verdict: B for me. It's a very lightweight hairspray and although the hold didn't stay all day for me, it lasted quite a while. It seems like a great product for lightly holding waves, curls, etc.

Product Review: L'Oreal EverPure Shampoo and Conditioner, A

In addition to clothes, shoes and handbags, I love beauty products. I could spend loads of time and money in Walgreens' and Nordstroms' beauty section. So naturally I very much enjoy using and reviewing products! I'll try to post one new review per week, with the post reviewing a new product or simply an oldie but a goodie.

That being said, first up is L'Oreal's EverPure shampoo and conditioner. This sulfate-free hair line offers up products in three different varieties: Moisture, Volume and Smooth. EverPure promises touts products that will keep your haircolor pure for up to 32 washes. In case you're wondering, sulfates are generally blamed for stripping dyed or highlighted hair of their color and shine.

I've used the Volume shampoo and conditioner for about three months now and I really like it. I color my hair every 2-3 months and this combo really keeps my color looking fresh and my hair smooth and bouncy. The scent is nice and refreshing and its a great buy for approximately $6.99 each. Overall, I give EverPure an A, as I will definitely re-buy!
