Cubicle to Cocktails: Major Love for Ann Taylor

Hi all! Today's edition of Cubicle to Cocktails features one of my newest dress obsessions - this one is currently available at Ann Taylor - the Knit Jersey Drape Neck Dress. The dress retails for $98 and it looks suuuper versatile. Chloe, from The Chloe Conspiracy, models it so well here!

I think this dress would work very well in a variety of office setting and cocktail situations alike. While knit jersey isn't every chic's best friend, I'm guessing that this particular cut would work well with a variety of body types/shapes. Part of me thinks that the work look is a bit too patriotic for my tastes, but hey, I gave it a go. As for the cocktail look, this dress would look fantastic with some colorful sandals  -the ones below are mighty colorful, and I dig it.

Hey Husband...Read this Christmas List Post...Coley Loves Christmas

I lurve Christmas. It's by far my favorite holiday. I love spending time with family and friends, lights, trees, cookies, dressing my dog up in silly holiday garb and giving. Seriously - I love giving Christmas presents. And while my husband is wonderful and a very generous and giving person, he doesn't always listen.

Yes he may hear me, but no, he doesn't always listen. So, I have to drop not-so subtle hints about things that I would enjoy for Christmas.

I thought I'd offer up a few items that I think are just lovely....and they are each less than $100. Maybe this will inspire your boyfriends, husbands, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and dogs to get you lovely items that you really want. Well...I did say maybe...

Ok...I have NOT been subtle about my desire to own this top. I specifically passed over it so that I could actually have something on my Christmas list. Kim at Anthroholic did a great review on this top too!

Husband - I would really enjoy having this in my closet. Either color, size small. Write than down. Oh - and you'll have to go to the store because it's sold out in my size online. :)

I've wanted this faux fur vest for a while, but I just haven't pulled the ole trigger. I don't think Todd (nor many other dudes) really enjoy fur in general, but we really shouldn't care, now should we. They are not wearing it, we are. :)

I enjoy sequins...so very much. This jacket is super cute and more structured. Big fan.

Honey, Put DOWN that Coupon

Normally I don't post on the weekend, but I just had to share...

Oh dear husband. We talked about this a few weeks ago. He occasionally makes the error in judgement (see "Shop Blockin"), but today he tried to throw away my J Crew coupon. He picked up the little red 20% off of ANY size order (that you can find in your J Crew catalog btw!) and started walking towards the kitchen. Here's how it went down:

Todd: What's this, babe? (as he picks up the little red treasure)

Coley: That's my J Crew coupon...it's 20% off! (smiles)

Todd: Oh, but you don't need that....isn't there a minimum or something? (continues to walk away with the treasure)

Coley: UM, no, there is not a minimum, so please put DOWN my coupon (giving him the stink eye)

Todd: Ooooookkk....got it. Putting coupon down. You should go blog about that.

Coley: I think I just may....thank you. (smiles sweetly)

I lurve Off Broadway, and so does my good friend Cathy...just ask her. I  believe she walked out with 4...or was it 5...pairs of shoes last time. Good work, Cath, as you know I fully support your efforts. Her shoe obsession mirrors my jean obsession.

Anywho, Off Broadway has great stuff, very similar to DSW, and in my opinion is even better since they give back 10% of your purchase as a credit for your next purchase. And yeah, I know 10% isn't much, but at least it covers tax!
