Hi everyone! Up for review today is an oldie but a goodie in my book - MAC Paint! I've used this incredible little product as an eyeshadow base for at least eight years or so. It used to come in a myriad of colors, but per MAC's website, it's now concentrated on neutral and flesh colored shades. This is probably due to MAC's paint pots....but that's a whole different review!
Here's the Paint info from MAC's website:
A high performance eye shadow product which goes on creamy; dries to a powdery finish. Made with concentrated pearl pigments in a cream colour formulation, allows for easy application, blendability, and flexibility of coverage. Creates a smooth, crease-free, slightly shiny, reflective look to the lid.
So, how do you use this product? As previously stated, I use it as a base, on my bare eyelids before my eye makeup application. No joke - this product will extend the life of your eyeshadows to an all day affair. Oh, and it may seem a wee bit steep at $16.50, but I kid you not, one tube will last a year. I have purchased "Stilife" in the past, but now I use the shade "Untitled" (literally, the name is called Untitled).
The Good: Not only is this a great product, but you really don't need to use very much on your lids! It spreads very easily (I just lightly use my fingertip) and keeps your eye makeup firmly in place. I have very little feathering, smudging or color loss when using this product.
The Bad: Not much here. I do wish it came it a few more shades, but otherwise no complaints whatsoever.
The Verdict: This is a may-jah staple for me. It does the job and does it well. Just a little suggestion if you're going to give this product a go - unroll (i.e. flatten) the little metal top when you open it. This will ensure more space for the product within the tube (therefore the product doesn't come spilling out during your first few uses)...which will save you product and money! A all the way!
Do any of you lovelies use MAC Paint? Thoughts?

Sweet! I use their pots bases, but I'm always looking for new primers. Can you use it on your face too? Have you tried?
Miss K - Hi there! I would not use it as a primer, as it's quite heavy & creamy. The best foundation primer I've used is Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. :)
